However Walnut Riverside Resort turned all my doubts into a great family time in Kaghan. The people, the ambiance of the property, rooms, vibe and overall comfort has been top notch. In my opinion the resort should be a trend setter in the locality. The unique feature is a very flexible kitchen and an activity/sports room which is great for kids. Spent the most peaceful holidays at Walnut Riverside Resort, Kaghan Valley with my husband and daughter. Impeccably clean, beautifully decorated with incredible attention to detail, and set in the quietest riverside location. The staff service is outstanding. If you want to truly unwind, you don’t even need to leave — the balcony views from the rooms are everything. We came for one night and instantly extended our stay. I had an excellent stay at Walnut Riverside Resort, and honestly, it was one of the best travel experiences I have had in Pakistan over all my years of travelling. The location, riverside setting, privacy, and overall peaceful environment were exceptional. What really stood out, however, was the service level. The GM, Mr. Rafaqat Hussein, was genuinely outstanding — extremely helpful, professional, responsive, and personally involved in making sure guests were comfortable. His hospitality made a huge difference and elevated the entire stay. The staff was courteous, cooperative, and service-oriented throughout. The resort has a very homely, warm, and personal feel, which is rare to find in northern areas. Compared to other similar options in the region like Spruce, Arcadian, or Marco Polo, I personally found Walnut Riverside to offer a much better overall experience. The rooms are comfortable and clean, though there is still some room for improvement in finishing and small premium touches. Food quality is good and authentic, but the menu is somewhat limited and could be expanded with a more premium presentation. Overall, this is a highly recommended place for families looking for a peaceful, riverside, well-managed stay in Kaghan/Khanian. Lovely rooms, nice view of the river. All amenities provided, hot water always available, friendly staff. Good tasting food whatever we ordered, great tea.
